ChiSafeEats does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers.
If you grant location access, your location is used only on your device to center the map and sort nearby places. It is never transmitted, stored, or shared.
The app downloads public food-inspection records from the City of Chicago Data Portal. These requests contain no personal information.
Inspector comments are translated using Apple's on-device Translation framework. Text never leaves your device.
The inspection database and your settings (language, appearance) are stored only on your device, and are deleted when you delete the app.
